Interviewer: When and how have you decided to write and sing christian songs?
Answer: It was caused mainly by an absolutly concrete prophecy made through a group of prophets about me (by the way it happened at the very place where Jesus had His Sermon on the Mount). God said that in a time He would use me for a musical service which would result in many saved souls. I put it into my heart and waited when the Lord would call me for this work. Feelings that channeled my efforts in this way were aroused by the fact that in Israel there can be hardly found one of the main services of the christian church - evangelisation and preaching to unbelievers. According to the law of that country missioners are viewed as criminals and can be imprisoned up to two years only if they keep the New Testament or distribute christian literature. But the Word of God says: "Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house." (Matthew 5:15) Therefore I begen to write songs for evangelisation.
Interviewer: How do you write your songs?
Answer: As a rule it is not planned and it happens wherever and whenever He wants. I remember how I worked as a docker at a factory of plastic pumps and once at the height of loading I felt a sudden wish to stop and having put a sheet of paper on my knees I started to write a text. It seemed strange for another dockers but the Lord Himself told me to write - so I should obey and write! In this or in the similar way were written nearly all the songs. Arrangements and records were certainly done with prayer.
Interviewer: What does music mean for you?
Answer: Music for me is first of all the instrument to praise the Lord, armour to conquer the souls, besides something very very beautiful, a tool that God gave to people from His gracious hand (if only they could have managed to use it in a correct way).
Interviewer: What audience are your songs oriented?
Answer: Certainly, my songs are intended mostly for young people who do not know God. This is how I think but what God thinks nobody knows. So I can not say it for shure
Interviewer: Where do you have concerts?
Answer: There are some reasons why I do not give concerts today. I can not organise everything on my own, I am short of time, lack money and opportunities (but I want it greatly and realize that there is will of God in it). Just I need a kind of push. What matters is my wish, so if somebody is willing to cooperate I am always ready to answer.
Interviewer: What are your plans for the future?
Answer: I do not know but anyway they are linked to what God plans for my life.
Кор.: Tell us please how you became a believer.
Andrej Levin:I was about to move to Israel when one think happened to me. I was unbeliever at that time but once at night I said aloud even not realising what I was doing: "God if You exist please let me come to Israel and possibly I would play for You". By the way that phrase was so unexpected for me because I even did not think about such think then. Being a drug-addict and a fan of the groups like "Pink Floyd" and "Doors" I treated all the believers and christian musicians only with mockery. But I believe that my Heavenly Father lead me to salvation in Jesus Christ. On my arrival to the Holy Land I began to go to church "Morning Star" where with the lapse of the time I repented. Step by step the Lord lead me to the service. Now I play in worship group and work over a new evangelisation project. The most important is in the future on our part remains just to follow Jesus and be obedient.
