Cor.: How did you decide to write and play Christian music?

Victor Guz’ (composer and poet): It happened when I realized that everything in this world comes from God. Having realized that, I had the desire and necessity to tell people about that in songs. The problems created by the mtn can be solved only with God’s help.

Cor.: What is the name of your band and why did you choose this name?

Victor Guz’: The name of the band is «Sinners» and it implies that all the people are sinners. Somebody is more of a sinner; somebody is less of a sinner. But the ones who acknowledge this fact, repent of their sins and aim at righteous life are already on the right way, in other words, on their way to God.

Cor.: How do you write your songs?

Victor Guz’: At first there appears a thought, the idea, which is transformed into the lyrics and tune and the song is born.

Cor.: What is music for you?

Victor Guz’: Music is the mean for self-expression, a specific style of communicating with people. Pleasant music provokes kind and elevated feeling, it inspires people to good actions, makes a person cleaner and more perfect, and it means that the music brings a person closer to God. You can feel the gracious influence of music even subconsciously.
Lesnoy Dima (basist): It’s great to create something in life or, at least, contribute to creating something new. The process of creating is breathtaking – especially in the music field. When you stand on the stage and play, all of your problems are far away, behind the listeners’ backs.

Cor.: Who do you sing for?

Victor Guz’: For the people capable of listening and thinking.

Cor.: Where do you perform?

Victor Guz: We didn’t have any recitals, but the band is ready to play its own program. The level of performance and our repertoire potential let us do it. Our songs were aired at the “Promin’” radio station, as well as at FM “Zoloty VOrota” and they still are to be aired.

Cor.: Tell us, please about your hobbies, friends and your plans for future.

Victor Guz’: I am fond of music and sports. I communicate with other musicians and believers.
Lesnoy Dima: Besides music, I like hiking in Crimea. I love to go to some desolate area of our country on a bicycle with a tent. I have many friends and acquaintance and this page will not be big enough to list them. About my plans for future… I want to improve my skills as a basist, to be promoted to the large stage with the band. I think about starting to work on self-improvement and it covers all the sides of my personality. However, usually it happens that there’s not enough time (probably, when I am an old man with a beard, I’ll become an ascetic and then…. :).
