| Testimony from the Group "The Garden of Gethsemane" |
| Long ago when I just became a Christian I watched a video of a Christian
band performing in a night club of Los Angeles. In this band a pastor of
the church which I repented in was playing drums. I still don't know how
it happened that a Christian group appeared in a place like that but the
music was a very hard 'trash'. The musicians themselves didn't look like
'Christians from a picture', in suits and ties. They were longhaired guys
with tattoos. They wore torn jeans. They played very hard jamming music.
The audience differed from the musicians dramatically. Maybe they were
hallucinating. They had such hair dresses I'd never seen before. They were
a kind of punks or hippies -- I even don't know how to call them since
they looked so shocking. But I noticed a very interesting thing -- after the concert confusion/embarassment/perplexity appeared in the eyes of that young men. They were not anymore as cool as before. Music touched that people greatly. I was a young Christian and was consumed with Christ, so he gave me a strong desire to organize a similar band which would introduce Christ to people who need it so much. This song is dedicated to my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ who is calling all of you to turn to God the Father. God loves you! |
