"ADVENTURES OF THE LITTLE WHEAT-EAR"

Hello! I'm little Wheat-Ear. I grew up in the big field in Bethlehem. There were lots of wheatears like me around and they were my brothers and sisters. Today is unusual day in the field - the master decided to gather the harvest. He cut all the wheatear, tied reaps and thrashed them. I got to one of reaps; hided myself deeply in it and now you can see me unhurt.

Then I was brought to the stable. There lived a cow, baby donkey, and a lamb, and also there were living two brood hen, and very important rooster. The reap was untied and put into the hayrack. I hided myself, as far as possible for not to be seen and eaten. Suddenly .I've heard somebody's footsteps. The man and the woman entered the stable. They settled here for the night. From their talks I found out that his name was Josef and her name was Mary, and they were expecting for some special baby to be born...

That night Mary gave birth to a child. She wrapped Him in cloths and placed Him in a manger on the soft hay. I was lying near Him and I could see Him smiling to His parents, a cow, baby donkey, and a lamb were standing close warming Him with their breath. Josef and Mary were saying "Now what was said trough the prophet is fulfilled. The Son of God is born. His name is Jesus"

Then the door opened and big and strong people entered the stable. They were shepherds. They asked, "Is it the place, where the Savior, Jesus Christ is born? We would like to see Him and Worship Him." Surprised parents answered, "Yes. It is. But how did you get to know about this?" Angels told us - one of the shepherds said - this night the Baby was born in the town, He will save the whole world. And we would find him in here, in the manger. After the shepherds' story I understood, that Jesus was not only the Son of God, but also He was the Savior. Can you imagine that?

Then the very important guests came - the Wise men from Far East. Do you know how they found the way? They saw the very big and bright star in the sky. And the star brought them to our Baby. They called Jesus the King of Jews. They brought Him gifts of gold , incense and myrrh.

Soon after Josef, Mary and baby Jesus left us. My master took me out from the stable with the other hay. My seeds got into the soil. The spring will come and they will upspring together with other seeds, and essentially they will tell other people the story about wonderful Baby, who was the Son of God, the King and the Savior of the world
|
