When we play this song at concerts, we dedicate it to those who are especially in need of love and comfort, for bed-ridden handicapped children who suffer from paralysis. On a missionary trip to Armenia we met a ten-year-old paralized boy. A boundless blue sky reflected in his big brown eyes, and his body was cramped. The suffering of hapless and sick children is a reality. Only God knows why they suffer, and he is the one who can take away their pain.
People are looking for eternity,
People are looking for God,
People are looking for the Milky Way
That would lead them to the threshold.
But you are like not of this world,
You've seen so little,
Your look is like milk on the lips,
You've done no harm to anyone.
Your silent scream
Will not be heard by people,
Only the star in the window
Will wink at you.
People, people are very good,
People, people are very peaceful,
They are always just
And full of love.
And a lamb keeps silence before the slaughter,
And captured birds keep silence.
You wanted to say "Hello,"
But your hand clenched
And the earth turned paifully round.
Smile and sing
Even if no one hears you,
And the only Star on the cross
will call you to himself,
He is alive and breathes.
Your silent scream
Will not be heard by people,
Only the star in the window,
Only the star in the window.
Your house is under the sky,
And there is a hope in your smile.
Your father was like a wind,
And your mother was like a river.
In spring the river overflows,
And there is a boat on it
And the destiny rows in it.
My friend aren't you the one
Who sits on the stern
And sings something
About such a destiny,
About a far dream, About the heavenly country.
