Q.: How and when did you make a decision to write and perform Christian music? A: When God gathered our group, he blessed us with a wonderful preson who sang with the group and wrote almost all the songs from our album and many others which she performs on her own. Q.: What is the name of your group and why did you choose this name? A: The name of our group is Glory. I don't know why we chose this name, there were no dreams or revelation. When we gathered we were all about 14 (there were 15 of us) and our group was called Hallelujah. Then we decided to chane our name to Glory. Q.: How do you write your songs? A: Our songs were written by Lena who, unfortunately, left the group. We still have good relationships with her, but write our songs ourselves. Of course, God does not abandon us, and he gives us inspiration. Q.: What does music mean to you? A: "Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The Lord, the Lord, is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation" (Isaiah 12: 2). I believe (and, I think, Sveta will agree with me) that music becomes an inseparable part of every man who comes to God. No matter what the man's background was, when he sings he glorifies God in his song. That is why I think that music is a part of everyone, and if we don't have this part our life in Christ is inferior. This is true for me. Q.: What people do you write your songs for? A: As you can see from our first album, we wrote not for musical critics. I mean we are not professionals. We sing for those who like oyr music style, both for Christians and non-Christians. Q.: Where do you give your concerts? A: At military bases, technical schools, etc. Of course, we try to participate in concerts organized by Kiev churches. Q.: Could you tell us a little bit more about yourself? A: There are some changes in oour group. After recording our first album, only two people out of six remained in the group, Yulia and Sveta. Sveta: I was born on the 30th of May. My hobby is to collect small figures that people sell at Andreyevsky Spusk; I love buying them, and even more I love gettting them as presents. As for my plans for the future, I want to get a higher education, though I have not decided what speciality to choose. Yulia: I was born on the 4th of May. I collect good music of all styles: rock, rap, techno. I love good music. I want to learn and become someone in this life. For me, the word "friend" means very much, that is why I have only one friend -- Sveta -- and many acquaintances.
