Cor.: How did you decide to write Christian music? Answer: As soon as I received Jesus into my heart, my first desire was to serve Him. When my pastor asked me where I would like to see myself in my ministry, I told without even thinking "In worshipping". Although I didn't have any practical musical skills, my heart was full with praise to the Lord and I started growing in everything connected with music and singing. Cor.: Do you have a band, you perform on stage with? Answer: I don't have my constant band, although I started playing with the band "Ìost" («Bridge»). Later, I started moving and growing on my own. For a long time, I worked with a friend of mine, bassist, and inviting some other musicians for concert programs. Today my music activity has the form of ministry, but it's quite a different issue. Cor.: How are your songs being born? Answer: I mainly write my songs with a pen or with a pencil but almost always at night in the kitchen. To be honest, it is very difficult to answer. To be serious I always know inside that a new song is going to be born and then I ask God to reproduce it. It happens very seldom that I write songs according to some certain theme - everything happens spontaneously. Sometimes I can write two songs in one day and sometimes there is none in a month. It is quite normal. The main rule for me in this case is not to try to give birth to something inmature. It doesn't matter if the song is simple of complex. The most important thing is that the song has inner contenst, a character. Cor.: What is music for you? Answer: One day I realized that music is one of the forms of expressing God that has its own function. In the spiritual world everything is filled with music - everything is giving praise and worship to the Lord. This understanding led me to the following - as tech music has a powerful potential in itself to influence a person or potential to change him, the role of music on earth (the real role) is uniting a person with the Main musician - the Creator of harmony, rythms and tunes. Why? So that God would be revealed to a person through music. Having come to such a conclusion, I realized that the aim of my creation given my by God is not presentation of myself to people or to God as a musician and a singer, but to bring people closer to the One Who wants to change their lives, to heal their spirit and body and to reveal the truth to the people. And the truth is the following: all comes to a person's life from God and eventually will go back to Him. That's why music for me is a gift given me by the Lord and I have to make a good use of it. Cor.: Who do you address from stage? Who do you sing for? Answer: For some reason, my songs are mostly directed to the believers. Probably it is because there is a great desire in my heart that my songs would encourage believers. May be it is the reason why now I am a part of the ministry "Rebuiling David's Tabernacle" aiming at cooperation with churches in the area of praise and worship. There are also songs directed to unbelievers. By the way, the new album I am going to have recorded will mostly include evangelistic songs. Cor.: Where do you usually perform? Answer: Recenlty I played not too many concerts because I was busy serving in the mission where we arrange praise and worship concerts in the streets or in churches. Every Sunday I go to the Open Christian Club where I can hear performing of moder Christian misicians, including myself. God gave us this kind of ministry when people coming there can worship God, have fellowship with each other and serve with the gifts God has given them. The unbelievers have the possibility to find out how we live and to personally experience His presence. That is why I invite everyone to our club: each Sunday at 18.00 "Club Of Thirsty Hearts", DC "Arcenal", "Arsenalnaya" metro station. Cor.: Please, tell us about your hobbies and friends. Answer: One of my hobbies is woodcarving, but I do it very seldom. My friends are mainly musicians. Cor.:What are your plans for future? Answer: Plans for future… I have only one plan - to try to fulfill the ministry given me by God, and He will take care about all other things, as Matthew 6:33 says.
