Cor.: When and how did you decide to perform Christian music? Answer: In 1999 after the moment when I came to Jesus, I wrote my first song with the name «Everything lives by You ». And I didn’t take the decision itself because as a rule: you sing about the one you love. My meeting with God happened like in a fairy-tale. Like once lived a man and he lived his routine, gray, prose life. And once he met a girl he even couldn’t dare dream about. They fell in love from the first sight, and nothing on the earth could darken their eternal and happy marriage. My meeting with God happened like that!!!!!!! Cor.: Do you plan to perform together with your band? Answer: The band is being formed. It’s preliminary name is «Ledokol» (Icebreaker). I invite other musicians to cooperate with us. Cor.: How do usually your songs appear? Answer: Inspiredly. Cor.: What is “inspiration” in your opinion? Answer: Inspiration – is a special condition of your soul, and it’s analogous with the presence of the Holy Spirit when God gives a person a prophetic word or vision. That’s why it’s impossible to find consolation in music, if it hasn’t come to him from above. Cor.: What does music mean for you? Answer: It’s the means of self-expression, the way of life, ministry, spiritual arms. Cor.: What is the direction of your work? Answer: My style was formed during long years of creative search. In the beginning I liked blues, then sympho-rock, and, eventually, I chose «punk» style. Of course, this isn’t real «punk». In my style there is a synthesis of punk, alternative, jungle, industrial, and some other styles. If you add some expression and melody you’ll find my style. Generally, one musician noticed properly, that musicians’ business – to make music, and critics’ business – to make music styles. By the way, punk-rock appeared after musicians’ protest against commonness, philistinism, inertness of people, to put a long story short, against the devil system of today’s world which is called matrix. So, punk and Protestantism have a lot of in common. Cor.: Who do you sing for? Answer: I sing for all the people who like my songs. We didn’t have any concerts because only one song was recorded for the future album and this album will be called «Expresssion». All the means are relevant for preaching the Gospel if they please God and bring the wanted fruit. As a musician I give my preference to musical evangelization. Cor.: Tell me, please, about your hobbies. Answer: Besides music my hobbies are theatre, cinema and television. I tried myself as a television host and a journalist. At present I study at the Institute of Culture as a film and television director. Cor.: What is the main difference between the modern Christian music and unreligious music? Answer: Taking into account the fact that I was working as a concert producer in show business before my repentance I managed to cooperate with famous and unknown musicians and singers. First they taught me how to do everything in a professional way, and how to be responsible. Any musician knows that that if he does the wrong thing he won’t get the money he could get. In show business everything is built on strong competition. Unfortunately in Christian world musicians don’t often care about professionalism and quality of their music. They hide themselves under God’s grace and under impartiality of our brothers and sisters who pay for their cassettes a much as they usually do for professional recordings of commercial singers. Brothers in faith! Do everything like you do that for God, for His glory, do it ten times better than unreligious musicians do for their own glory! And again, unreligious music is being developed very quickly technically and creatively. Unfortunately music industry pursues two main purposes: fame and money without caring for God’s glory. Christian music from western countries especially in the USA is very professional. But this music isn’t very creative. They either create the same music all the time or copy the style of any unreligious band. Home Christian musicians follow the same principal. Cor.: What music and singers do you like? Answer: I listen to any good music, from classical music till rap-core, the main thing is that music has to «hook» you. In Ukrainian show business I like “VV” only, in Russian – the band «BI-2», «The Time Machine», «7B», Zemfira, selectively – the songs of other bands and singers. Regarding Christian singers, it’s a gap. «New Jerusalem» managed to record only one good album, I like «Adhesive Tape Production Line», «Drozdy» and «Daleko». Cor.: What are your creative plans and dreams? Answer: I dream about creating a television Christian program that would tell people about the influence power of music, and about the history and roots of music style called «rock». I also plan to record the radio programs «Light Music» on one of the Kiev unreligious radio stations. I dream about making video clips for Christian singers. Cor.: When will we hear your solo audio album? Answer: The first album is in the recording process and considering the fact that I want to record a product of good quality it will be finished not earlier than this spring if I’m alive and God willing. That’s why all the people who are willing to listen to my songs will have to listen to ÌÐ3 format son Emmanuel web site yet. As I am recording my album, I’ll put my song on one of the websites. Cor.: If you can what would you change in the world? Answer: If it were possible I’d make surgeries of transformation people’s hearts and brains. All the people have wicked brains and hearts and they cause all the problems. Jesus has made this surgery in my life and it was completely painless. Bible says: «I make all things new». Jesus has made me a new person. His love has defeated my sin, and I became a new person. Cor.: What will you advise our readers? Answer: If you want to change your world, make at least one person happy together with God. If everyone had such a purpose from the early Christianity, we would live in a paradise on the earth like in heavens!
