Anita Gezo was born in Kiev. Since her childhood she has been studying music professionally. From the age of 7 she studied in the school at the Lysenko conservatory studying piano. She studied in Moscow in the Gnesinykh music professional school, and moved to Kiev Glier music school and graduated with the major in vocal. Later Ukraine People's Musician Diana Petrinenko taught her vocal at the conservatory. She began singing when she was three years old. In her childhood she performed in camps, and on different holidays. People liked the way she sang that is why she decided to become a professional singer and did everything to achieve the aim. The repertoire she performed was different and in different languages. She performed songs of the “Beatles” group and sang songs from domestic films. Later she was influenced by the creativity of such composer as J. Gershwin (an author of the jazz hit “Summertime”) and W. Huston. The song of Whitney Huston “I will always love you” was like a business card at the beginning of Anita’s professional career. People liked the way she sang that song that is why they invited her on different professional concerts. Anita began to sing professionally in 1997. She performed at concerts, youth festivals and night clubs. She worked with famous studios and arrangers and now cooperates with the show-ballet “X-mission”. In 1998 she performed on the stage of National Palace "Ukraine" together with Taisiya Povaliy, Viktor Pavlik, Ani Lorak at the festival “Autumn varnishing” for the first time. She performed a song “You are a stranger” composed by one famous composer and arranger N. Pavlov. The concert was transmitted on the UT-1 channel. In summer 1999 she performed in L. Bernstein’s famous American musical “Westside story”, the producer of which was Roger McMerrin. This musical was a success in Kiev. She performed in the Kiev famous club “River Palace” regularly. There were performances in another night clubs such as “Bingo”, “Red and Black”, etc. Anita participated in some contests. The last are – contest for young performers organized by Kiev youth social service where she took the first place (June 2004) and the Ukrainian contest “Eurovision 2005” which was being transmitted on the UT-1 channel. She performed a song “I will fly” which she composed herself and entered the semi-final. Since 1999 she began visiting Ukrainian towns with a mission “The youth is for salvation” (Gleb Spivakov) participating in youth festivals. Anita performed in 40-50 towns at different concerts and discos. In June 2001 she released the first solo album “Heaven” and in 2003 – a compact disc with two new songs. She participated in Christian music recordings “Be Blessed His Name”, “I Want to Know You”. Since 1998 Anita has been participating at different Christian concerts, plays, services, holidays, musicals. The last one is “Christmas magic” (2005). Since 2002 she has been performing at the annual youth festival “Twilight” in Crimea. On November 29 Anita participated in the “orange” revolution. She performed a song “A prayer for Ukraine” at the main stage of the Maydan Nezalezhnosti (Independence Square). Anita continues working with her songs and performs at different concerts and youth festivals.
