Correspondent: How did you start writing and playing Christian music? Answer: After conversion we all started using our abilities for God. Correspondent: What does the name of the group mean? Answer: The group is called Boanerges that means Sons of Thunder in Greek (Mark 3:17). Thunder is a forerunner of rain, which typifies the Holy Spirit. We believe that people will be changed and filled with the Holy Spirit after our concerts. Correspondent: Who writes songs for your group? Answer: We co-operate with a Christian poet Mishchenko, some of the songs are written by Gennadiy Ben', Roman Makogon composes music, whereas arrangements are made by the whole group. Correspondent: What is music for you? Answer: Music is a tool which helps open hearts and minds of people who refuse to go to church and listen to the Word of God. Who are you singing for? Answer: For various categories of people, but in particular for youth. We sing for outcast groups (drug addicts, punks, bikers and alike). Cor.: Where are your concerts held? Answer: We perform at concert pavilions, in jails, in higher institutions, in orphanages, hospitals and so on. It happened that we performed in casino and night clubs. When required we also take part in festivals, hit-parades, contests. Cor.: What are your plans for the future? Answer: All musicians want to fulfil their mission, playing and singing in the group and telling people about God.
