The “Boanerges” company of the modern Slavonic music performs different style songs that could be called ethno-rock. Group’s music combines Slavonic ancient melody with modern rhythms, timbre of folk instruments (sopilka, buhay, telinka, drimba, zozulka) – with cosmic keyboards, cruel guitar and jazz-trumpet. The texts of the songs are simple and philosophical, about life and eternity. The music of the “Boanerges” addresses to all of us, awaken the best that is hidden in the peoples’ souls. These songs awaken hope and conscience, bring peace and answer the most important questions. The group was being formed in 1998. In spring 2001 the first album “Spring” was being recorded. Now the group performs with the new program “Vertep”. The group consists of 5 professional musicians. Roman Makohon, keyboard player, vocalist, accordion player, buhay, telinka, zozulka. Genadiy Ben, trumpeter, vocalist, rizhok, zozulka. Valeriy Ogorodnik, guitarist, vocalist, drimba, zozulka Valentin Yankovskiy, drummer. Vladislav Ponomarenko, guitarist and vocalist.
