I believe that God guides and controls everything in lives of his children (that is those believing in him) to change us and to teach us to trust him in everything. once I got a problem with a professor of English at the institute where I studied. He would not pass me because he got offended at me (by the way, by no reason at all). Everybody knew that he would not forgive a student under such sircumsances; the situation was even worse because he was a head of a department. I just did not know what to do. I asked the head of my department to talk to this man, but he refused to. After I tried all possible ways to solve the problem that I knew of, I prayed, "My God, help me! I don't know what to do." Then I opened the Bible and read in Psalm 27, "The Lord is my light and my salvation - whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life - of whom shall I be afraid? When evil men advance against me to devour my flesh, when my enemies and my foes attack me, they will stumble and fall. Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear; though war break out against me, even then will I be confident." I felt that it was God who talked to me, and went to the English Department in a surprisingly quiet mood. There I saw a professor whom I never met before; he asked me what I needed, and I described him the problem. "Though I don't know you, I see that I have to help you,' he said and passed me! I will remember this case until the end of my life. I got the assurance that one can trust God for he is the Living God. And I also know many people who know him not by hearsay.
