Cor. Tell us about your musician’s development before your conversion? Answer: Since 1983 we were involved in music. We played at weddings and discos. From 1986 to 1990 we studied at Magnitogorsk musical school at the department of jazz and pop music. So at that time I got a desire to become a professional musician. The study was very profitable: we performed rock music at clubs and jazz at music school. But only due to our teachers did we like jazz. One of the brightest events was the jazz festival “Spring tempos-88” in Moscow. Cor. How did you meet God? Answer: Although some events occurred we met God in 1991. At that time we studied and worked in Moscow. We happened to meet young musicians who said they are believers. Often they referred to the Bible. They were wise for their age. Due to our fellowship we stared to analyze our lives. Only a little time did we need in order to see our sinfulness. We realized that only God was able to change our lives. Cor.: How do you come over difficulties and how music helps you in this? Answer: Music is God’s gift. We are glad to serve others with this gift but it is even more pleasant when the gift profits us too. Music is one of the means God uses to talk to people. When listening to music one can experience God’s presence, his faith can be straightened and he can come over the difficulties. Cor.: Why do you perform in this style? Did you ever want to change your style? Answer: The band “Day club” performs pop music and soul&funk. It is something between jazz and rock. For the present this style is the most contemporary and understandable for others. We intend to present music of this style at least in several albums. Besides we are working on a jazz repertoire for live performances. Cor.: What do you think about up-to-date music? What positive and negative aspects can you see? Answer: The contemporary music is very contradictory. On the one hand there is a high technology that can improve quality on the other hand the morality decreases. We often hear songs that praise lust and anarchy. Actually the contemporary music affects young people. The positive aspect is that many new musicians, who care for listeners and fans, appear. Cor.: What national musicians do you like? Answer: I would mark L. Agutin and “A-studio”. Cor.: What foreign musicians do you like? Answer: “take6”, “True Vibe”, “Plus One”, Marcus Miller. Cor.: Where can we buy your records? Answer: You can visit www.dayclub.kg Cor.: What do you think are the ways to preach the gospel today? Answer: It depends. Now we can say that the best testimony is a personal testimony and close fellowship. Cor. If you had an opportunity to change the world what would you do first? Answer: Since we are musicians we would change today’s music because it has a very strong impact on people. You just imagine for a moment that everything would praise the Creator. Would you be impressed? Cor.: What would you wish to our readers? Answer: We try to be open to those who are interested in our oeuvre. We believe that our music and songs will change your concept of life. Be careful what you are listening to! Choose life!
