Corr.: What is the name of your group and why did you choose namely this name? Answer: Our group is called "Agape," a wonderful word both by its sound and meaning. It is "God's love" in Greek. At our concerts, the name of our group gives us one more opportunity to tell people about his love. The name of our group is also associated with the name of our charity center "Agape" that we all work at. Corr.: How do you choose your repertoire? Answer: Even before their repentance, many participants of our group were directly involved in music and wrote songs. When they received Christ they started composing Christian songs. In our repertoire we have both original songs written by the group members and Russian translations of popular foreign artists and groups such as Carman, DC Talk, WWMT. Corr.: What does music mean to you? Answer: Music is one of the strongest expressive means. It is given to us by God, and it opens people's hearts. Where the word may not be able to reach a person, music will have no obstacles, making men milder and more perceptive, touching their souls. For us music is a means to carry the Gospel in a form that can be easily understood and perceived. Music is a strong spiritual weapon to win people's hearts for Jesus Christ. Through music we fellowship with our audience at concerts. Christian music has joined us all in one group. Corr.: How do you perform your songs for? Answer: Mostly for the youth, for school and college students. We do care for the future of our country. We want Russia to strengthen spiritually. Those who are students today will become leaders of the country, directors, economists, teachers, and doctors tomorrow. That is why it is very important that being on the threshold of their adult life they have Christian values and principles. Corr.: Where do you perform? Answer: Mostly in schools, gymnasiums, orphanages, sanatoriums, rest houses, colleges, and universities. We organize youth actions against drugs and for healthy life. Such concerts take place at central stages of Nizhny Novgorod. Our concerts are charitable, and everybody can attend them. We presented our programs in colonies for young criminals and in centers for social and labor rehabilitation. We also don't forget about the Christian youth. We hold prayer nights of worship and discotheques. You will soon have a chance to listen to our music at the Radio "Theos" in St. Petersburg and at the Russian Christian Radio in Moscow.
