Group "Agape:" We thank God for the fact that he gathered all of us who are so different for one work that we love very much. This is a miracle! Our group is like home for us, here we can find support and understanding. We spend much time together, working and having rest. Life with God and work in this group is a great joy to us. And this changes our lives and helps us be full of energy, active and happy. Gennady Chavdar: I was born and raised in a believing family. My parents and my mother's parents are members of the church of evangelical Christians. From my early childhood, I heard much about Christ and even attended the church along with my parents. When I grew a bit older I started to understand certain things; at that time all our country went by the way of "victory of Communism." At school, all my comrades mocked at believers, and it seemed that the church had no future. I stopped attending services. My parents never pressed on me, neither they insisted that I would go to church. But I knew that they and my grandma were constantly praying for me. I grew up, and they kept on telling me how important it was to follow the Lord. As a school boy, I started playing drums in a local club. Then I studied in a vocational school, served in the army, got married, and entered the university. I was involved with music all the time. At that time I was as far from God as if I had never heard of him. My family and I left for a different city. But the most interesting thing was that in the depth of my heart I was sure that there was a God. I knew that my mother, grandma, grandpa and other erlatives keep on praying for me. Many years later, when I received Christ, I understood how many times these prayers resqued me from troubles, and once they even saved my life. I have been working at a collective farm for three years, then in an army orchestra for five years. These were the hardest times for me. My life was falling apart, I made wrong decisions and had a wrong value system. I did many mistakes. I started drinking though I never took a drop before. I started borrowing money. Very soon my debts were so big that it hurt my family (by that time I had a wife and two children). After a year of my service in an army orchestra, there happened an event that later changed my life. Valera, one of our musicians, received Jesus. People from the orchestra thought that he lost his mind and got trapped into a sect. Valera talked to me about God, and I told him that my relatives were also believers. He invited me to the church, but I would not go. Shortly after I changed my job and lost contact with Valera. Life went on, and one day all the problems that I had on my shoulders broke me. kept on asking myself, "What is happening with me? Where am I going?" Suddenly I started to realize that I was on a slippery slope. One evening I came home from work, and there was nobody home. I entered my room, closed the door, turned the light off, kneeled, cried, and said: "God! If you are there, please make me to believe you!" God did not leave my prayer unanswered. Shortly after, one Sunday morning somebody rang at my door. I opened the door and was very surprised to see Valera whom I did not see for half a year. That very day I went to the church, along with my family and Valera. I invited Jesus Christ into my heart and repented in all of my sins. From that day everything changed in my life. God braught order into my life. Now we have peace, joy, and prosperity in our family. I have a wonderful and strong family: a wife and three children. I have wonderful friends in my church. I play with the Christian group "Agape" and I see that God loves me and my family. Never before have I felt so happy. Praise Jesus!
