Mostovyak Daniel, was born on the 7th of February, 1972. He graduated from the Kiev Polytechnical school and from the music school – the guitar department. First songs he began to write when he was 15. He sang them to his friends. Even though he graduated from school successful there was emptiness inside him. But in 1992 he got acquainted with Jesus and his life gained fullness and sense. Since 1993 he has been singing and playing guitar in a worship group. In 1995 God began giving Daniel His new songs, the majority of them were in the Ukrainian language. That was the reason of his passion dreams about composing psalms with Ukrainian national character (Daniel’s father – from the Ternopyl Region). The majority of songs at that period had been the translation of American and Swedish originals. The same year he wrote a psalm: “All glory to You” that soon became beloved in many churches of Ukraine and even Russia, and a psalm “Forever”. Since 1995 till 1996 Daniel was a leader of the church worship group, and also an author of scripts to three plays by the theatrical church group in 1996. In 1999 he together with young talented musician, composer and arranger – Eugene Voronko – began recording his first album. This album “Songs” was released in 2001. All songs from this album are being written in the Ukrainian language. There were 10 musicians who took part in the recording of the album. In 2003 Daniel recorded his second album “Irreproachable world”. One of the most famous Christian rock musicians in Ukraine and Russia Lekha Drozd (the group “Drozdy”) was a producer and an arranger of this project. This album in general consists of songs in Russian language. The first album has a bright folklore character, but the second one has more modern, rock-guitar style. Serving people with songs presented him by God, Daniel performed in many churches of Kiev, Poltava, Mukachevo, Lvov and others. Christians of many cities and villages of Ukraine listen to his songs with pleasure. The main thing he tries to reveal to people with his work is: “Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart” (Ps. 37:4), that means let God remain your first love. Daniel is married, he has a daughter Helen who is 7, and a wife Svetlana.
