Yevgeniy Vyacheslavovich Gudukhin was born November 20, 1968. In 1984, he graduated from secondary school; he studied percussion at a music school. Yevgeniy started playing music when he was 12. When he was 13, he started making a living by means of music, played at dances in the city of Mariupol. In 1987, Yevgeniy graduated from a rail-road vocational school in the town of Yasinovataya in the Donetskaya oblast of Ukraine. While studying, he participated in the work of various music collectives, played with two groups (in one of which he was a leader), played double-bass in a string orchestra and small drum in a wind orchestra, played at the Theater of Song and in a restaurant. In November 1987, he was called to serve in the army where he wrote his first songs. In 1989, Yevgeniy was demobilized and came back to the restaurant. In 1991, because of my friend's testimony I gave my life to Jesus. I got married the same year, and on the 30th of November, 1991, my wife and I were baptized. After that I worked as a missionary at Mission "Opportunity." At the end of 1992, we started a new church where I led worship. Keeping my promise to God, I served him and worked in different places: on a farm, as a driver, with an executive committee. In 1994, I enrolled in a musical college as a third-year-student of voice, but unfortunately didn't graduate. In 1995, I entered the Psychology Dept. of Donetsk University. In the beginning of 1996, I produced my first album, "Forgive," and heard God's calling to serve him fully. Since that moment I have been involved with music full time. Now I and my family live in Kiev. I am a member of the "Word of Faith" church, pastored by Sunday Adelaja. Yevgeniy Gudukhin has recorded 4 evangelistic audio albums. "Forgive" (1996) "My Faith" (1996) "Receive a Letter" (1997) "Prayer from an Orphanage" (1998) Yevgeniy is currently working on 3 projects and recording 2 CD's. Lyrics of his songs appeal to a wide range of people, no matter how old they are and what social stratum they belong to. Songs of Yevgeniy Gudukhin are very popular both in the former USSR and abroad.
