I was born in Moscow. My parents did not believe in God for they were "enlightened" and educated people. As a child, I read the book named "The Entertaining Bible." The author of this book mocked at the Scripture and tried to prove that what is written there was not worth to be believed in. But anyway, from that book I learned something about Bible heroes, and it was interesting. As a secondary school student, I got interested in "spiritual" books telling about the "karma" of man, reincarnation, etc. I believed all of these things very much, but I remained lonely anyway. I entered an institute and started living an energetic student's life with parties, gatherings, and many people around. I thought I finally found what I had been looking for, but I was mistaken. I gradually realized that neither friends nor relationships with a girl could make me happier. It was a sheer disappointment. When I was a second-year student, I "accidentally" (as I thought" met American missionaries. They talked to students, invited them to train together, and after trainings talked to them about God and the Bible. I was rather sceptical and did not agree with them, trying to prove that my understanding of the world and God is more right. I even suspected that they were spies using the Bible as a cover and trying to find something out. But one of the missionaries spent much time talking to me personally. I saw in this person love and a sincere desire to help; I was very surprised because was never treated like that. For next two years I have been living the way I used to live before, though I was more thinking and trying to read and understand the Bible. One of my fellow students attended Bible classes and got to believe in Christ. He started attending a church, and he invited me to go there with him. I came to the church and listened to a sermon. I did not really like it from the first time, but something made me to come there again. Suddenly I realized what Jesus had done for me, I understood that the Cross and God's love were absolutely real. I just could not live the way I used to, I had to choose. And I made my choice. Now when I look back I can see that God led me to him in a miraculous way. When this happened, my family was afraid that I got trapped into a sect and would get insane. Then my parents saw that my attitude to them changed: I stopped quarreling with them and started treating them with more respect. Thay even visited the church and liked it. When I came to Christ, I felt the desire to sing about him. Songs started coming to me, and I sang them to my friends at the church. Then I gace a concert in the church; after the concert people started asking me to listen to my records. This is how I got an idea to record an album. I prayed, "Lord, if you you want these songs that you gave me to be heard by your children, please help me record them." I bought a tape by "Druzhki" and fell in love with their music; I dreamed to record songs together with them. I met these guys in two years. The Lord gave me finances and arranged everything in a wonderful way. In May, 1999, I produced the album "Love is a Secret." I am happy that I can tell about God and about my relationships with him through my songs; I am glad if my songs support somebody and give them hope and strength. I know that God really loves me and will be near me in any problems and troubles that might (and sometimes do) happen. This is how his supernatural love is being expressed.
