	<< Back to				Corr.: Could you tell us when and how you make a decision to write and perform Christian music? B.Sh.: Actually I did not make any decision. I think that one can seldom write music "by decision," it usually happens by inspiration (except for cases when it was ordered). When I got to know Christ I felt the desire to sing about the Lord who revealed himself to me in such a miraculous way. I wrote one song, then another one... Then songs just started falling on me. I sang them to my friends at the church, and they liked the songs. Then I gave several concerts at church. That' s how it all started... Corr.: How do you usually write songs? B.Sh.: In different ways... Sometimes a melody comes first, and then verses follow. Sometimes I get it all at once. For instance, the song "Small Fire of My Soul" was written from scratch in 20 minutes. Once I had a hard time, so I went to my room and prayed - and suddenly verses and music came to me. When one hears this song, they could think it had been well thought through, but it actually happened spontaneously. There is no well-defined algorithm. Corr.: What does music mean to you? B.Sh.: Music for me is a means to express my inner world, my feelings, my thoughts. I think sometimes music helps you share important things with people better than words could do it. And I also just like good music. Corr.: Who do you perform for? B.Sh.: For all those who love songs for their soul, who love lyrics. It can be anybody, but I think most of my audience are people in middle age. Corr.: Do you have plans for any tours? B.Sh.: Not now. Corr.: Could you tell us more about yourself? B.Sh.: I was born in Moscow 24 years ago. I have graduated from a secondary school, and then from Moscow Mining Institute. I have a degree in computer science, but my work is not related to programming. I love readind car magazins, though I don't have my own car. I love tennis and I love to see my friends, though it happens less often than I would like it to.
	Miracles I got the assurance that one can trust God for he is the Living God… Performers I even suspected that they were spies using the Bible as a cover and trying to find something out.
