Cor: When and how did you decide to compose and perform Christian music?
Since my childhood I like singing, but I could not find the song that was close to my heart. I wanted to fly when I heard Christian music, songs about God’s love. I understood that I could fly while singing.

Cor:
Why “Hadassa”?
In September 2001 I woke up, because someone with a tender (soft) voice had been awaking and calling me, but with another name. I was surprised for some days, but then I decided to find out the meaning of that word in a Biblical reference book. Hadassa – is a myrtle tree, the symbol of beauty in New Jerusalem. I understood that my calling is to tell the world about the Heavenly Kingdom and to proclaim God’s word to the nations.

Cor: How do you write your songs?

The Spirit breaths where he wants: nobody knows where he comes from and goes away. I do not write songs - they just come.

Cor: Why do you perform in this very style? Have you ever thought of changing the style?
I don’t choose style; I just sing what is in my heart. Before I repented I liked Mariah Kerry, Whitney Huston, Celine Dion. I wanted to sing astonishing everyone. I understood with God that the best thing for a man is to be himself. As for me, I am a child in my heart.

Cor: What category of people are your songs aimed at?
My songs are aimed at all categories of people.

Cor: What musicians and groups did you happen to work with; have you learnt anything from them?
I sang in a worship group “Pobeda” (“Victory”) and with Valeriy Korop. There is always something to learn from another person. For example Valera helped me to understand that the value of the song is not in its musical composition (form), but in the spiritual information and simplicity.

Cor: What does music mean for you?
God and music are inseparable parts for me. Music is the way of communication with Him.

Cor: What is your relation towards the modern musical world? What advantages and disadvantages do you see?
I listen to modern music, but I don’t refer myself to it. An advantage is that there are a lot of ways of reflecting feelings in sound. Disadvantage or minus - what feelings and motives it reflects.

Cor: What native performers do you like?
I do not want to mention one person, because each performer is unique.

Cor: If you had an opportunity to change the world what would you do?
I would introduce Bible study at every school, kinder garden and higher education establishment.

Cor: What are the most successful ways of evangelization nowadays?
I think that the most successful ways of evangelization are television (video clips, films) and Internet. Television needs Christian films, music and God’s word.

Cor: What would you wish our readers and listeners?
I wish them just to believe in Christ like children and they would see miracles in their lives.
