I repented in 1990 and I went to the Bible school in Tartu, Estonia. I didn’t play music for the next two years. Then I participated in a praise group, first as a guitar player, then as worship leader. It was funny time although cruel. We were an army of Christ and despite the great amount of spiritual gifts, sometimes it seemed that we had been taken away from the mother at that time when we had not been spiritually mature and had to live on our own. In 1994 I recorded a debut solo album "Songs of the Covenant of Love." I was a young Christian (me and my wife-to-be announced about our engagement) and I spent much time sitting in the kitchen and playing guitar, singing Bible verses and unbosoming feelings To God. Songs of love were born at the period of first love. Nobody planned either record of the album or creation of the group. Everything was really natural. I was a worship leader in my church. My pastor Dmitriy Mason decided to record my songs. He saw our great prospect and believed that that music could bless the majority of people. That’s why he took the responsibility to cover all expenses connected with a studio work and first run of cassettes. Zhenya Voronko made the arrangement of the album. I wrote music and words for the "Songs of the Covenant of Love." Then I recorded these songs on the tape-recorder singing these songs and accompanying on the guitar. As a result he Zhenya made an arrangement for my songs and that very year we managed to record the album and release the cassette. Music is very melodious and moving. Then, in 1995-2000 I was busy working on the project “Masada” that is aimed at creative Christian youth. Together with my good friend Andrey Babik who later moved to Germany and created there our web-site www.masadamusic.com we decided to make something really creative. And as a result after the album “The Son of Man” we released the album “The Good Name”. Olga Novitskaya sang, laughed and danced Irish jig. Igor Shepitsyn (now MC Pastor) began making funny photos. We enjoyed creativity. Everyone was happy that much money was spent only in order to have a joy that God gave us. Using acoustic instruments we experimented with percussion, didn’t use drams, because we thought it was pop. We recorded an album without drams and then added computer drams, because it was too original. So, we can release an album either in the first or second version. Next years God led me in worship. It’s connected with my spiritual renovation that “Toronto Blessing” and Harkov “Father’s House” brought into my life. In this atmosphere a new album “Gold” was being born. Lyoha Drozd had helped me and I appreciate this. He made all arrangements and controlled the record. I think that I will sing the songs of the covenant love for the rest of my life. Songs and albums can be different, but they have the only task – to call for intimate and deep fellowship of the Lord, to express hunger that can be filled only by God. God gave me opportunity to visit India and Kosovo (you can read about the adventures www.masadamusic.com and www.imbf.org). New friends and wonderful impression can be found everywhere. Life changes for its best…and I wish this to you.
