I heard about God for the first time in 1994. And I understood nothing about it, I thought it was something like a sect. I started developing my music skills. I wrote a lot of music. I performed at different regional and republican festivals. I earned my money playing in restaurants and at different holiday centers. But I didn’t find any satisfaction in it. I was depressed all the time and started drinking and taking drugs. In 1999, I stopped playing in restaurants hoping to change my life, and left for Dnepropetrovsk. In Dnepropetrovsk I started performing in nightclubs. I found a sponsor. I found one sponsor who wanted to invest his money in my songs. The longer it lasted, the clearer it became, that I had become a slave. I was disenchanted with show-business completely. I kept on performing and drinking. One evening when I was going to the nightclub I met an old friend. His name was Leon. I was not happy at my apartment. My friend invited me to go to his apartment. There I found out that he is the pastor of a Christian church. I thought I was in a sect again that’s why I soon left. On the 26th of October 1999, I performed at a supermarket presentation, after which I got drunk and lost all my documents. I had to call Leon and ask him to come and take me from the terminal. I left Dnepropetrovsk and returned home. On the 2nd of December 1999, I went there again to celebrate the anniversary of the affiliation of the church, “Door to the Heavens”. Leon was the pastor of this church. I didn’t manage to repent on that day. But the next day I decided that my situation couldn’t be any worse, and I had a chance to change my life. On the 3rd of December 1999, I said the prayer of repentance and received Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. Since that time and up to now I minister to God and God works His miracles every day in my life. And God gave me a wife! And for a short period, - only in one and a half months - I learned how to play the saxophone.
