Corr.: When did you start writing songs for God? M.S.: I started writing and performing Christian music right after my repentance. It has become one of the most precious gifts, and embodiment of my dream. I received Christ 8 years ago, and now I have been writing songs for 8 years. Corr.: How are your new songs being born? M.S.: In most cases I write songs under inspiration and do not spend much effort for this. It looks like songs have been already written. But sometimes I need to "give birth" to a song. Then I have a certain topic and some drafts, and I have to "bring it forth;" this process could take several years. Corr.: Is music something special for you? M.S.: Music for me is air and life full of exceptional feelings. If it was not for music, I would be sick and missing it. I thank God for the fact that he revealed me himself in the light of an endless stream of music. Corr.: Who is your audience? M.S.: Various people, both believers and unbelievers, listen to my songs. My songs have neither barriers nor limitations. I will be happy if everyone will love what I do and the name of the One who I praise. Corr.: Where do you perform? M.S.: On the whole, I perform at evangelistic services and also at various concerts and festivals. I am happy to work with Yevgeniy Gudukhin, a great author and performer. Together we have traveled by many cities, towns, and villages of Ukraine. We have also visited the Urals, Kazakhstan, the Carpathians; those were our longest trips. My direction is evangelism. If people invite me to give a concert, I always try to do go there and do it. Corr.: Could you tell us about yourself, your hobbies, and your creative plans? M.S.: After I repented, I continued my creative way for the glory of the Lord. Music is my hobby. I love traveling. My friends are my pastor and many believers from my and other churches. I have lots of plans. I dream to produce one more album (I already have material for it); I want to publish my book about faith, friendship, and love; I dream to publish a collection of verses for children and adults (I am working on it now), and also write several musicals for many participants. It all takes much effort. There are various circumstances which don't let me work at full speed, but I have God, and I believe that he will make my dreams come true. My biggest dream is to evangelize people. I want to share a part of my heart, a part of my faith with everyone who hears me.
