Corr.: When and how did you make a decision to write and perform Christian music? V.K.: In 1993, my life made a U-turn. I started living a new life, a life filled with joy and happiness that I never had before. Having wandered in darkness and dirt for a long time, I finally returned home where I could never find a way by my own. The one who saves, heals, and delivers helped me come home. His name is Jesus Christ. Having got to know him and loved him with all of my heart, I surrendered my life to him, and he put music and words into my heart. That year was most fruitful; many of songs that I wrote in 1993 became popular several years later, when I became a perfformer. That music was an expression of my first love to my Lord who loves me so much. Corr.: How do you write your songs? V.K.: Sometimes a song gets born very fast, maybe for half an hour. But sometimes a birth of the song is a long process, a fruit of prayer and time. Corr.: What does music mean to you? V.K.: Music used to be my idol and my god. Now it is just an expression of my gratefulness and a sacrifice that I bring to my real Father's altar for his love for me. Corr.: What category of people do you write your songs for? V.K.: My music is aimed at a wide circle of people. I have songs for the young and for the more mature, but most of my songs can be understood by all people because it is God's music for them. Corr.: Where do you give concerts? V.K.: We travel a lot, ministering in churches, on the streets, in rented halls, and in parks. Corr.: Could you tell us a few words about yourself? V.K.: I was born in 1959; I have a secondary education. I am married and have a son and a small daughter. This girl came from God. Her parents were gone, and God presented her to us. Stephany is one of Jesus' miracles in our life. I love my family very much, and every day I thank God for it. My family is a strong support for my ministry, and their prayers are my strength. I like sport, traveling by thhe country-side; I love nature. My hobby is only what God wants me to do. I have many friends, from Ukraine to America and Africa. I love my friends and always remember them.
