Corr.: Please tell me about how you became a believer. Answer: I became a believer after I had read some religious books in, perhaps, 1994. But only one phrase changed my life completely and led to God: « Horror, of course, from the Son’s sufferings, but just try to imagine the Father’s sufferings!» Since that time I have lived with God in my soul, being devoted to Him with all my heart! Corr.: How did you decide to perform Christian music? Answer: The decision to perform Christian music came to me when I realized that I am obliged to Jesus Christ for everything in my life, and the best thing I can do is to praise Him with my music to the best of my abilities. Corr.: Tell me about your first solo album. Answer: The idea to record my own album came to me in 1998 when I understood that I had to make a gift for God on Jesus Christ’s birthday -the 2000 the anniversary! I wrote music and texts, organised, and looked for singers for two years. Corr.: Do you have a band? Answer: My friends and believers have helped me to perform my songs. They are: Dima Dolina, Oxana Ratushnaya (she has six children(!), she has never refused to help me, I’m very grateful to her!). My son-in-law (he isn’t a believer yet), a professional singer Alexandr Bubliyenko worked on this album with pleasure and I hope these songs will help him to understand that for everything, he has to be obliged to our Savior. Corr.: What does music mean for you? Answer: Music for me - it’s not just work: it’s my life-style, my only love, and I wouldn’t change it for any other job, even if it was very profitable, with the exception that if it was God’s will and therefore pleasing to Him, I would do so. Corr.: What audience do you aim at? Answer: I hope people of all ages will listen to my songs, what is more I have some positive replies from both young and old listeners. Corr.: Tell me something about yourself, and your plans for the future. Answer: I’m a professional arranger and musician. But I am able to work with Christian music much better than anything else! And Christian music is my main hobby. Unfortunately, I don’t have any social life: I devote all my time to work, it’s true. In the future I dream about writing praise songs with God’s help. I’m preparing to record a new album, with the songs written by Christian poets in Ukrainian.
